Come for the Mission, Get a MANicure

As the VERY BIG picture above indicates, we’re celebrating National Child Abuse Prevention Month, and we hope you’ll get involved. Please join us on your lunch break, anytime from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., Friday, April 23, for a special MANicure. No, we’re not talking about the kind with message chairs and warm water. Rather, our MANicures comes with a mission – to raise awareness for the prevention of child abuse.

Our event is COVID-safe – we won’t even make you get out of your car! Just stick your hand out the window, and we’ll paint one fingernail blue so you can tell everyone who asks that one in five children who experience child abuse.

If you WANT to get out of your car, we’re happy to also give you a tour of the new Children’s Advocacy Center, a sort of one-stop, first-stop for children after they are removed from home and before being placed into foster care. Our event will be right outside the center, which shares a parking lot with Barron Real Estate, at 8555 Commerce Centre Drive, in St. Lucie West.

One last thing: If you come to the event for a quick MANicure (we call it a MANicure because we’re trying to get the guys involved, since they are more likely to raise an eyebrow and thus start that all-important prevention conversation), we can send you back to work with an office kit. That’s right! You can help us spread the message of prevention by taking a kit back to the office and challenging your colleagues to join the MANicure Movement.

Anyway, we really hope you join us. It’s been a long time since we’ve seen a lot of our neighbors, and we’re excited to get back out there!
