One School One Child Initiative

One School, One Child

We’ve got some homework for you

One School, One Child is a foster-parent recruitment campaign aimed at teachers and other members of the school community. The campaign uses teachers already licensed as foster parents to help recruit new caregivers from among their peers - It’s the latest step in an ongoing effort to increase both the number and quality of foster homes in the Communities Connected for Kids child-welfare system in Indian River, Martin, Okeechobee and St. Lucie counties.

The campaign officially rolled out May 2017 at Jensen Beach High School. See the presentation below!

What we need

We are looking for entrée into individual schools so that we can bring our One School One Child presentation to people who already possess the heart and skill set necessary to be excellent foster parents – teachers and other school-based professionals.
